  • Have they not seen many of civilizations Our Majesty had annihilated who were before them in human history?

  •  ۔کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا   کہ کتنی          ہی تہذیبوں کو ہم جناب نے نیست و نابود کردیا جن کا ان     سے قبل کے زمان میں دوردورا تھا۔                                                  

  • Their characteristic feature was that We had firmly established them in the Earth such as We have not settled for you.

  • ۔ہم جناب نے انہیں      زمین میں مستحکم اقتدار دیا              تھا ایسا جس کے مانند تم لوگوں کے لئے ہم جناب نے نہیں دیا۔

  • And Our Majesty sent upon them the Sky: rain, timely and abundantly —

  • ۔اور ہم جناب نے ان پر آسمان بھیج         دیا؛بروقت ضرورت وافر پانی برسنے کے انداز میں۔

  • And placed streams flowing beneath/side-by them.

  • ۔اور ہم جناب نے ان کی نہروں کو پانی سے لبریز کر دیا۔وہ ان کے پائیں بہتی رہتی تھیں۔

  • Since they heeded not there by on termination of respite period Our Majesty annihilated them as punishment of their crimes and slanders —

  • ۔چونکہ  پرعشرت عنایات کے باوجود نہیں سدھرے تو مہلت کا وقت ختم ہونے پر ہم جناب نے ان کے جرائم کی پاداش میں انہیں نیست و نابود کر دیا۔

  • And Our Majesty let flourish after them new civilizations. [6:06]

  • ۔اور ہم جناب نے ان(قوم/تہذیب)کا قصہ تمام کر دینے کے بعد ایک دوسری قوم/تہذیب کو عروج عنایت کر دیا۔

  • Acknowledge it; Our Majesty have established you people in the Earth —

  • ۔تم لوگ یہ احساس تو کرو کہ ہم جناب نے تم لوگوں کو زمین میں مستحکم اقتدار کا حامل بنایا ہے۔

  • And Our Majesty have rendered in her (Earth) substances, for you people, as means of livelihoods-sustenance—

  • ۔اور ہم جناب نے اس کے اندر رکھے وسائل کو تمہارے لئے معایش کے ذرائع بنا دیا ہے۔

  • That gratitude which you people express is meagre compared to the favours done. [7:10][let us be not like majority and frequently say الحمد لله]

  • جو شکر تم لوگ ادا کرتے ہو وہ عنایات کے مقابل قلیل ہے۔


  • And if they intend to betray you, it will not be any surprising since indeed that did betray Allah the Exalted in earlier timeline whereby He has empowered you over people from amongst them.

  • Remain cognizant; Allah the Exalted is the Fountain and Setter of knowledge-science of visible and invisible domains, realities. considerations; and the Infinitely Just Supreme Administrator of the created realm. [8:71]

  • ۔اللہ تعالیٰ کے متعلق یہ حقیقت ہے کہ منبع علم ہیں،تمام نظام کے   بدرجہ اتم انصاف کے تقاضوں  کو پورا کرنے والےفرمانروا ہیں۔


  • And he who had bought him (child-Yu'suf) from the market in the City Misr [Egypt] said to his wife imperatively:

  • اور جس شخص نے مصر  کے بازارمیں سے اسے شوق سے خریدا تھا اس نے اپنی بیوی سے کہا۔

  • "You make his permanent stay dignified; may be he becomes profitable for us or we might affectionately adopt him as son."

  • ’’آپ اس کی رہائش کو باوقار بنائیں؛قریب ہے کہ یہ ہمارے لئے فائدہ مند ہو یا  ہم اسے بطور بیٹا اپنا لیں‘‘

  • And this is how Our Majesty provided a stronghold for Yu'suf in the Land [Misr-known by non Arabs as Egypt] —

  • اور یوں ہم جناب نے یوسف کے لئے ٹھکانہ بنا دیا،باوقار انداز میں ملک مصر میں رہائش پذیر۔

  • And so that Our Majesty may make him learn foreseeing by deducing the final outcome-logical conclusive interpretation of the happenings, events-dreams —

  • اور تاکہ (جیسے ان کے والد نے اسے بتایا تھا)ہم جناب اسے  پیش آنے والے واقعات اور باتوں کی ابتدا اور منتہا کی کڑیوں کے تجزیہ سے انجام کوپہلے ہی سے جان لینے کی تعلیم دیں۔

  • Realize it, Allah the Exalted is always dominant upon His decision/command [to make it take effect]

  • مطلع رہو؛اللہ تعالیٰ  اپنے طے شدہ امر کوحقیقت میں ظہور دینے پر بالا دست ہیں۔

  • But the fact remains that most of the people intend not to understand - realize it. [12:21]

  • مگراکثر لوگ  سمجھنے کی کوشش ہی نہیں کرتے۔


  • And the Kind ordered, "You people bring him to me".

  • خواتین اور عزیز مصر کی بیوی کے اعتراف کو سن کر حکمران نے کہا’’انہیں تم لوگ میرے پاس لے کر آؤ۔

  • I will seek him exclusively personal advisor for my self."

  • میری خواہش ہے کہ میں  اپنی ذات کے لئے  انہیں معاون خصوصی بنا لوں‘‘۔

  • Consequently on his arrival when he conversed with him, he said, "Indeed you are today with us firmly established, trusted elite." [12:54]

  • اس طرح جوں ہی وہ تشریف لائے دونوں نے آپس میں گفتگو کی۔انہوں(حکمران)نے کہا’’یقیناً آپ آج سے ہمارے درمیان اس ملک کی اشرافیہ میں ہیں‘‘


  • And this is how Our Majesty had provided a stronghold for Yu'suf [alai'his'slaam] in the Country [Misr-known by non Arabs as Egypt]. He enjoyed the powers to acquire from whatever part of the country he was so desiring-deciding.

  • اور یوں ہم جناب نے یوسف کے لئے ٹھکانہ بنا دیا،باوقار انداز میں ملک مصر میں رہائش پذیر،جہاں کہیں بھی وہ پسند  کریں

  • Our Majesty renders him the focus of attention; bestowing Our mercy/blessings, about whom  We so decide —

  • ہم جناب جس کے متعلق ارادہ کرتے ہیں اسے ہماری رحمت سے   دنیاوی آسائش اور تحسین و آفرین کا حامل بنا دیتے ہیں۔

  • And Our Majesty do not let remain un-rewarded those who conduct moderately/balanced way. [12:56]

  • اور ہم اعتدال اور حسن سلوک پر کاربند رہنے والوں کے  حق بدلہ کو ضائع نہیں کرتے۔

  • It is a fact that Our Majesty had established a stronghold for him in the Earth —

  • Moreover, Our Majesty had given him all sorts of things as means-technology — [18:84]

  • He (Zil-Qarnain) replied, "That state in which my Sustainer Lord has established me is much better than your offer [I will not fix toll].

  • However, you people assist me with manpower,

Root: ق و ى;  ع و ن

  • I will render a barrier between you people and between them in the manner of filling the gap. [18:95]


  • They are the people that should Our Majesty establish them ruling in the Land:

  • They would certainly organize and manage the institution of Ass-sa'laat: Time bound protocol of allegiance and servitude; and would pay Az-zaka'at: financial liability for economic uplift of society —

  • And they would enforce the pleasant social values/norms, and outlaw/forbid to stay away from the foul which is disapproved.

  • Take note; the final decision and conclusion of all the matters are the exclusive monopoly for Allah the Exalted. [22:41]


  • Afterwards, Our Majesty rendered it (artfully treated water 77:20-21) as a sperm within a pleasantly cold resting place [epididymes] — [23:13]

  • ۔

  • That He the Exalted will certainly in future make them self-rulers (sovereign) in the Land in the like manner as He had made those before them the self-rulers —

  • And that He the Exalted will establish for them their System and Code of Life, the System that He has approved for them —

  • And that He the Exalted will certainly replace after their state of fear and insecurity to state of tranquillity and peace.

  • They are the people who are exclusively allegiant to Me, they do not associate anything with Me.

  • Be mindful, whoever disavowed after this proclamation —

  • Thereat, they are truly the people who are in habit of going out of the prescribed bounds. [24:55]

  • And so that Our Majesty may provide for them a Land to reside —

  • And that Our Majesty may cause, for Fir'aoun (Pharaoh) and Ha'maan and troops of both to watch some of that about which they were apprehensively cautious. [28:06]


  • [You guide them with Qur’ān] And they [elite of Mecca] said, "If we pursue the Guidance [Qur’ān] along with you [Muhammad Sal'lallaa'hoalaih'wa'salam] we would become swept/overwhelmed/downgraded in our own City [in position and economically]".

  • [why such apprehensions] Did Our Majesty not establish for them Sanctified House/City ensuring peace and tranquillity; fruits of all sorts are brought to the Sanctified House/City as sustenance from Our Grace.

  • But the fact is that most of them do not know/intend to understand. [28:57]


  • And indeed they were the people whom Our Majesty had established with power in the state in which Our Majesty have not established you —

  • And We Our Majesty rendered for them faculty of listening, observation and interpreting/intellect/knowledge/know how/technology as their distinction —

  • But neither their faculty of listening, nor of vision and nor wisdom/knowledge did avail profit in averting anything from them—

  • When they deliberately kept denying and wrangling with the Aa'ya'at: Verbal passages of Allah the Exalted —

  • And that hemmed then about which they consciously adopted a non serious jesting attitude keeping themselves playful with. [46:26]

  • ۔اورآخروہ(عذاب) ان سے ملصق ہو گیا /ان پر آن پڑا جس کے بارے  دانستہ اور زیرمقصد تمسخر اڑاتے رہتے تھے۔
